I received this as a birthday present from my DH.I had seen it on Sex and the city, and mentioned how much I would love to do it.So my DH booked me a 2 hour trapeze class as a surprise, great surprise.I had 9 other people in the class with me, everyone was so friendly and supportive.The staff members were very nice, and we got through the training very fast, so that we could have more time actually doing the trapeze.My first time climbing the ladder was scary, I am not great with heights.They make you feel very comfortable, and safe.after my first time, It was so exciting, you get such a rush.My first time I did not do that well.2nd time up I was able to get my legs over the bar, hands off, and hands back on and legs down, and then drop to the net.They wanted us to back flip to the net, which I had a hard time with, my final time I finally did it.I was so proud of myself for everything I had accomplished and it was so much fun.It was the best birthday present I had ever received.They started doing catches and I would have loved to give it try, but we had been outside in the hot sun for about 1 1/2 hours, it was about a 90 degree day, and the sun had really got to me, so I was not feeling up to it.Eventually I hope to return to NYC, and when I do this will be one of the first things I do.It was incredible, an amazing experience.Do this if you are in NYC. Adult classes focus on fun and fitness; using a variety of ground and aerial circus skills, students get a total body workout that incorporates strength, flexibility, upper and lower body strength and balance.
